About

Hotlights Lens Polishing is an Australian owned business operated by Caylah Chiplin. Before Caylah started her mobile restoration service, she had been restoring headlight lenses for her father (mechanic) on the Gold Coast since early 2013.

Caylah takes pride in her work and will go that extra mile to ensure you're getting the best possible results. We start by removing the old damaged coating from your headlight lenses, polish them, then freshen them up with a UV protective clear coat. We refuse to use any quick-fix methods or use DIY kits as we believe in restoring lenses the good, old-fashioned way. After all, it is the most effective and long-lasting way of going about it.

Having clear headlights is a roadworthy requirement. If your vehicle is regularly parked in direct sunlight, eventually, your headlights will become UV damaged. When your headlights become foggy from UV damage, it will hinder your night-time visibility. Replacing your headlights can be an expensive exercise, even when purchasing non-genuine after-market headlights. We can help you save your money by restoring them for a fraction of the price.
We have restored single lenses when there have been brand-new headlights installed on the other side and you legitimately cannot tell the difference between the two.

Keep in mind: If your headlights are damaged on the inside of the lens (which is rare), they may require replacement. Some headlights may have hairline cracks from severe heat and UV damage, these cracks may not completely go away with restoration, but the lens will be clear enough to pass roadworthy.
We coat your headlights with a UV protective clear coat at the end of our service. This coat will take at least 1 hour to dry in the sun, add extra time if parked in the shade. So please refrain from touching the headlights and ensure you don't blow and dust, etc. onto the surface of the lights before they are completely dry.
If your vehicle has a bullbar, your headlights may need to be removed to be restored. If your headlights are covered with headlight protectors, these should be removed prior to restoration to avoid incurring extra costs.
