James Frizelle began as a mechanic in Sydney and moved to Southport on the Gold Coast to begin Southport Mazda, which soon after became Gold Coast Mazda. Jame's son Brett Frizelle is now joint dealer principal of the organisation which spans from Nerang and Arundel on the north of Queensland's Gold Coast through to central Southport, Tweed Heads South and down to Lismore at New South Wale's northern rivers region.
