The Professional Certification Group provides a one-stop building approval and inspection service throughout Queensland and New South Wales.

The Professional Certification Group is accredited in New South Wales as a Body Corporate and as a Private Certifier by the Building Professionals Board. To enable the Professional Certification Group to obtain and maintain this accreditation it is necessary for our company and employees to maintain a high level of knowledge, application and compliance with the Building Code of Australia. Our employees keep up to date with building standards and Council requirements expected of private certifiers by the Building Practitioners Board.

The Professional Certification Group will undertake the following tasks where applicable:

Assess the design of the structure to ensure that it is compliant with the Building Code of Australia;

Assess the design of the structure to ensure that it complies with any conditions of Development Approval;

Conduct any necessary initial site inspections and/or site assessments;

Prepare and issue a Complying Development Certificate or Construction Certificate;

Apply for ancillary approvals such as driveways, and plumbing & drainage;

Issue notification of the approval as well as payment of registration fees to the local government authority;

Conduct mandatory and critical stage inspections as required throughout the course of construction;

Collate all necessary certificates;

Issue an Occupation Certificate to enable occupancy of the structure; and

Issue notification of finalisation as well as payment of fees to the local government authority.
