The Techo Technical Solutions

About

We aim to be the premier provider of personal computer services on the Mornington Peninsula.

Our goal is to provide you with the very best service and exceed your expectations.

Below is a short, but by no means exhaustive list of the services we offer:

COMPUTER TUNE UP & SERVICE

Just like your car, it pays to get your computer checked over every year or so to ensure that it is running at its best. Over time you accumulate bugs, viruses, spyware and obsolete programs. In addition, your system, security, application and driver files quickly get out of date if you don't keep on top of automatic updating.

As a result your computer can be slow to start, it may pop up annoying error messages and just not run as well as it could. With a Computer Tune Up I will perform the following services:

Uninstall unwanted/unneeded programs that invisibly load when Windows starts and consume valuable system resources

Run a registry scan to identify and fix any problems/errors/corruptions in the system registry

Perform a file system scan and repair to optimise the disk drive usage

Remove spyware/adware that is running in the background slowing down your computer and compromising your security

Perform a virus scan to identify any viruses on your computer

Download and install updates for the operating system, applications and driver files as required

Diagnostic scan to detect any physical problems with the hard disk drive

We will come to your house to collect your computer and return it, usually within 24-48 hours. Some minor problems can be fixed in your house or office. Prices are affordable - please call or email for an estimate which will depend on the work required and the distance to be traveled to collect and return the computer.

Perhaps you just want to use these social media to keep in touch with friends or relatives interstate. Do you want to sell some of the things lying around your house on eBay but don't know where to start?

Just call The Techo and we will come to your home or office and set you up on any of the social media that you are interested in. For small businesses we will also give some tips on search engine optimisation and listing on Google Places and other free online directories.

GENERAL COMPUTER ADVICE AND CYBER-SAFETY

With well over 20 years experience in all aspects of computers and technology, The Techo can provide general advice on any aspect of computers and technology. In addition, as a father of four young children, Patrick can advise you on good habits in Cybersafety for your children. He can also set up your computer to limit the time children can spend on the computer using the parental controls that are built in to the Windows operating system.

DATA RECOVERY

One of the most satisfying parts of this business so far has been when we have been able to recover data from hard disk drives where the owners were certain that all of their data had been lost. In one case we recovered over 25,000 digital photos from a failed hard drive for a very grateful family.
