The Laptop Man: Mackay

About

The Laptop Man started operating from a home office in Mackay in 2003. From there, the business grew and moved into a shop front store on Shakespeare Street. The business was then bought by Kevin & Belinda Patroni in 2007 with 3 staff. In 2009 it expanded to the township of Sarina (40km south of Mackay). In 2010 the Shakespeare Street store moved next door into much bigger premises. 2011 saw the opening of the latest store in Mackay's Northern Beaches. The company also received one of Westpac Banks highest awards "Most Outstanding Small Business in Queensland". The award came with $3,000 from Westpac Bank which The Laptop Man could donate to the charity of their choice: the "Give Me Five For Kids" Foundation which was being run by the Mackay Local radio group SeaFM.

The company is currently moving towards franchising and consults with people who want to join The Laptop Man franchise team.
