Located in the south east sector of Melbourne, Balmains is conducted as a teaching information studio dedicated to the passing of knowledge and the fundamental ethics of tonal painting and creative art. Over the years it has developed into one of Victoria's most prominent teaching studios.

At Kim Balmains Arts, the practice of tonal painting opens a vast array of styles. Whether your preferred style is realism, abstract, contemporary or a combination of these principles the groundwork remains the same.

The studio retains the traditional teaching ethics of the family business. I believe that everyone can paint if shown the correct approach to their art. Best of all I can prove it.

Whether your interest is for professional or personal gratification, whether your a beginner and feel your have no talent, novice advanced artist at Balmains you can create great art.

Designed specifically for the southern hemisphere the studio boasts natural lighting and is equipped to accommodate 10 students per class. Students need only to bring themselves and a shirt to get started.

The studio caters for students as young as 5 years of age through to adults.

For those who are just starting out or trying a new medium, all materials required are included in the studio fees. Art supplies are available for purchase.
