The Parenting Research Centre believes parenting is a critical factor in the quality of life and wellbeing of children. By developing parenting capability in the community, we can build a positive future for the next generation. We invite parents, carers and practitioners working with families to share the knowledge generated by our research.

The PRC coordinates programs including:
Early Days:

Early Days provides workshops for Australian mothers, fathers and other family carers of children aged six years and under who are on the Autism Spectrum. Find out how you can make a difference to your childâ€TMs development and your family life with Early Days.

MyTime groups provide facilitated peer support for mums, dads, grandparents and anyone caring for children with a disability, developmental delay or chronic medical condition. Socialise and share ideas and information with others who understand the rewards and intensity of caring for a child with special needs.

Healthy Start
Healthy Start is an Australia-wide strategy to support parents with learning difficulties and promote a healthy start to life for their young children.

Signposts helps you as parents and carers to design a personalised program that suits the unique needs of your child and develop strategies to prevent and manage difficult behaviour.

Raising Children Network
With a consortium of three of Australia's leading early-childhood agencies at its core, the Raising Children website was developed with the help of an extensive network including the Australian Government. Set up for Australian mothers, fathers, grandparents and anyone else who has responsibility for the care of children. We aim to meet the information needs of a wide range of users, from the just curious, to those looking for assistance with particular problems or issues, or those wanting to explore the science behind modern thinking on the care of children.
