Envoy Negotiation

About

From the way you speak, to the demands you make — your negotiations with others will show them exactly what you represent. At Envoy, we believe in learning how to get what you want out of life, without needlessly alienating people or burning bridges along the way.

Instead of adopting the cutthroat "dog-eat-dog" attitude made famous on Wall Street, we take the high road, by building deals based on trust, empathy, and good humour. We believe that our success often depends on others' help, and the easiest way to acquire it is to help them first. Above all, we champion a style of negotiation (and indeed, of representing ourselves to the world) that can help us get ahead, without shoving others behind.

This isn't easy. It is much simpler to take things away from others (wages, vacation time, happiness) than to figure out how to genuinely produce new value for the world. To accomplish this, we need to stock our negotiator’s toolbox with every useful technique, strategy, and perspective we can find.

Envoy specialises in taking a huge diversity of existing material and insight on negotiation, and synthesising it into frameworks and formats that you can instinctively apply. The truth is that there is no single 'key to success', hidden in an obscure business book; rather, there is an enormous amount to learn, and Envoy puts it all in one place so you can focus simply on internalising it.

Finally - negotiation cannot truly be understood by exploring it only in a single context. You cannot expect to take a style of negotiation that worked with an incredibly empathetic diplomat, and expect it to work equally well with a hard-headed logician. At Envoy, we build workshops and simulations that teach you how to operate across these contexts, and master as many means of persuasion as possible.
