Academy of Television

About

Under the direction of David Armstrong - "Academy Director", casting consultant and actor, The Academy of Television 'since 1985' offers a most comprehensive training program second to none. Past graduates have been successful in gaining employment in the industry with numerous appearances in television shows, films and commercials including, Neighbours, Home and Away, Sea Patrol, Fools Gold, Blue Heelers, Totally Wild, Getaway and The Matrix to name but a few.

The very competitive nature of "The Business" unfortunately prevents inexperienced but talented people from starting out. The courses are designed to provide students with a comprehensive background while building "hands on" experience before entering the industry professionally. Courses and workshops cater for beginners right through to Advanced Certificate. Remember its never too late to start, with our oldest student to date being 72 years old.

STUDIO AUSTRALIA MANAGEMENT, our affiliate actors management company has been introduced to promote Academy of Television graduates and other experienced actors for suitable work in the film and television industry for both National and International representation. We invite all our successful Academy graduates to join our agency free of charge for the first 12 months. This year alone we are pleased to announce that Studio Australia Management have supplied in excess of 70% of the local talent to Steven Spielbergs "The Pacific" and other major productions including Jodie Fosters "Nims Island".
