Conducted by acting teacher Christopher Sommers, these classes cover the essentials of performance for the screen as well as everything you need to know about how the industry works. Script work is complemented with sessions on audition technique, cold reads and personal presentation. Scene work is recorded and reviewed to enable constructive feedback of your progress. Max - 14 actors per class. 7 week term.

Christopher Sommers graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA Acting) in 2002. His Film credits include: Predestination, Drive Hard, Parer’s War, Fatal Honeymoon, Last Man On Earth, Jucy, The Horseman, Singh is King, AFI award winning Unfinished Sky, All My Friends Are Leaving Brisbane. His Television credits include: Reef Doctors, Mabo, TerraNova,(US) Sea Patrol,The Strip, Monarch Cove(US), The Starter Wife(US) and Love Bytes(Aus/Uk). In 2009 Christopher attended Master classes in Los Angeles, California at The Ivana Chubbuck Studio and Margie Haber Studios. In 2011 he attended masterclasses with Ivana Chubbuck and Larry Moss in Melbourne at 16th Street Studios. In 2012 he attended masterclasses with Ivana Chubbuck, Ellen Burstyn, Mark Travis.

Christopher is the co-founder of Scene-o-rama, a weekly scene class for actors and directors at Griffith Film School.

Christopher teaches for NIDA open Program, McSweeney/Newman Productions, Backbone Youth Arts, QUT, Queensland Theatre Company, La Boite Theatre Company, and Aboriginal Centre for Performing Arts.
