Our mission is Creativity - Teamwork - Confidence and our dynamic classes encourage students to develop skills in the following areas:

Socialisation, verbal communication, spacial awareness, co-operation, public speaking, stress management, performance anxiety, teamwork, imagination, participation, creativity, decision making, empathy, emotional intelligence, trust and self expression.

Our exciting structured program helps students to feel self confident and empowered by teaching them to believe in themselves and their ability to communicate clearly and effectively with those around them. Students are also given strategies for dealing with performance nerves and negative self talk, especially when it comes to oral presentations and performing in front of an audience. Drama is also a fantastic emotional outlet for children. The Drama Workshop provides a safe, engaging and happy environment in which to express yourself creatively.

VOICE AND MOVEMENT IMPROVISATION PLAYBUILDING SCRIPTWORK CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT PERFORMANCE

The Drama Workshop does not hold auditions, as perfect performance is not our major focus. Rather, we encourage students to enjoy immersing themselves in the process of making and appreciating drama. Students are given the opportunity to display the skills they have developed throughout the year by participating in a whole class play, performed for family and friends at the end of Term 4. It is an exciting time for all involved as we develop characters, learn scripts, build costumes and sets for our stage, as well as enjoying the wonderful experience of being part of an ensemble group of performers.
