The Killarney School

About

The Killarney School was established in 1902 by Miss E Carter in an old home in Dalton Road Mosman. From these early days it has seen many changes to what it is now, a private preschool for children aged 3 - 5.

The School strives to provide:

* learning experiences which assist children to develop at their own pace as individuals;

In the Preschool environment, the young child utilises opportunities for a diverse range of activities. Play is a child�s work; it is his/her means of discovery and exploration. Preschool provides for the development of the child�s physical, creative, cognitive, social and language skills through play. The child develops a sense of mastery and attains new levels of independence, thus developing positive feelings towards him/herself. Play is important for the development of attitudes as well as skills. Through play the child can develop a positive attitude towards him/herself, to others and to the process of learning.
