Emily Foord Memorial Kindergarten

About

Set amongst the trees Emily Foord Memorial Kindergarten has been providing children with memorable childhood experiences for over 50 years. We are very fortunate to be situated in a cul-de-sac sharing our fence line with parkland.

As a Community kindergarten Emily Foord has many contributors to its program.

Parents play a major role in not only managing the centre but also supporting the staff. With a parent on roster each day, the children have 3 adults to support them in their endeavours. Our program is further enriched by the numerous visitors we welcome each year into our program.

Community workers (firemen, police, dentists etc) theatre and music groups and wildlife programs are amongst some of our special guests. Our favourite visitor without any doubt would be our baby chicks. The children delight in watching them hatch from their shells as part of an egg hatching program. Our yearly excursion to the Travena Glen Farm with accompanying parents is always a highlight.

Please phone to make an appointment to come and visit, and see the truly unique environment we have to offer your child.

Emily Foord Memorial Kindergarten is affiliated with C&K. This Centre is licensed by the Department of Education Training and the Arts under the Child Care Act 2002 and Child Care Regulation 2003.

We are administered by an elected committee of parents and have an approved constitution/set of rules.
