Alien Guitar Secrets

About

Welcome to Alien Guitar Secrets.

Here at Alien Guitar Secrets, we are committed to helping and guiding you scale the highest peaks of guitar playing.

Founder of Alien Guitar Secrets Rob Lobasso, started playing the guitar at age 7, and has over 30 years playing experience. He has been teaching the guitar for over 10 years.

Rob Lobasso's influences are wide and varied, from the pioneering style of Jimi Hendrix, to the spell- binding flair and compositional skills of Steve Vai, Rob has an incredible wealth of knowledge, and a vast array of licks and tricks that he can show you which are used by the pros. The secrets of shredding, include sweep, alternate and tremolo picking; string skipping; finger tapping; legato and Staccato Sequential patterns, and trills.

After many years of honing his craft, Lobasso has combined this technical knowledge with an exceptional understanding of Pitch Axis Theory and developed a unique approach to teaching these techniques of those master Virtuoso's that he calls mentors.

As a teacher I believe that there is so much more that I can teach a student about the guitar, such as the 'Diatonic Modes' and 'Pitch Axis Theory' as well as Chord Construction.

I can also teach you all of the shredding techniques, licks and tricks, such as finger tapping, string skipping, arpeggios and sweep picking, alternate and tremolo picking, and have a mental encyclopedia of sequential patterns and runs that will last you lifetimes, however, most important of all, I teach my students how to combine all of these techniques and truly connect with their inner guitar player.

My belief is that Music is the essence of our existence, it permeates through us as it does the whole universe, and in fact when you break music down all we are listening to are waves of sound at various frequencies, which in turn are vibrations of energy, and it's these vibrations of energy which make up the intricate woven tapestry that is the universe

As musicians, we literally get to play and to shape the very fabric of our universe (pretty cool huh?), which is most likely why we are all moved by music in such a profound way.

Any way, more about the universe later...

My lessons are informative, fun and structured to re-awaken your musical senses, which will help you to unlock and unleash the virtuoso in you.

I look forward to teaching you very soon, till then...

Peace,

Rob Lobasso
