Michael Smith Music

About

I am a fully qualified and experienced music teacher, offering tuition in PIANO, KEYBOARD, MODERN GUITAR and MUSIC THEORY. I have a music education degree from the University of Melbourne, an Associate Diploma in piano, and I am a fully qualified member of the Victorian Music Teachers Assocation. I have had approximately 35 years teaching experience, tutoring people of all ages on piano and guitar. I feel it is very important for parents to choose a qualified teacher as results from learning are generally of a high standard. Tuition in Classical Piano a specialty. Modern guitar also is offered as well as tuition in the theoretical aspects of music.

So you might ask: "What is the difference between a qualified music teacher and an un-qualified one"? Usually a qualified teacher has studied teaching methods, has reached a very high level in the instrument and can therefore see the big picture" and have more of an enlightened approach to teaching resulting in better end results. My aim is to educate musically and effectively all interested persons best I can.
