I am a qualified and experienced Early Childhood and Primary School Teacher with Special Needs training.

I have taught for the past 11 years in Queensland and NSW in mainstream school settings, special education units and Pre-schools.

In 2008 I worked as a private tutor with the Queensland Governments Even Start program and have tutored privately over the past years.

For children who are experiencing difficulty in Reading, Writing and Spelling, I offer a Reading Recovery program and/or a Phonemic Awareness program.

Areas that will be covered are -

Blending and Segmenting exercises

Spelling

Listening and Auditory Discrimination

Reading Fluency

Reading Aloud

Syntax Awareness

Comprehension

Grammar

For those children who are experiencing difficulty in Maths, I offer assistance in all area of Mathematics such as Number, Measurement and Space. I teach to the Queensland Mathematics Syllabus.

Children will be offered a variety of brain-based games, hands-on games, computer software, appealing teaching, and of course rewards all of which assist, encourage and help to broaden each child's academic skills.

I work with you and your child to achieve positive outcomes.

I only tutor on a one to one basis as 'individual' tuition means that your child works at their own pace and with my full attention.

My home environment is pleasant, cheerful and non-threatening.

Children with special needs are happily catered for.

I am available Monday to Friday fromm 3.30 - 7.30pm for tutoring.

I can assess your son or daughter prior to commencing the tutoring.
