About

Need learning that fits around your life? Looking for a course that's affordable and fun? Want to change the world, but not sure how?

WEA can help, with quality short courses in your local area and online by correspondence. Get study help for your exams or work project, learn a trade or craft, discover new cultures and history, get creative with a fine arts class, or meet like minded people for socialising and practical campaigning. There's a world of opportunity awaiting you at the WEA.

Since 1903, WEA has provided accessible, progressive education to working people in a wide variety of subjects. Since arriving in Australia in 1913, our courses, clubs and campaign groups have brought expert teaching to local communities - empowering ordinary people to improve living standards, career outcomes, and promote democracy and social justice. Today WEA is a global charity with allied organisations in 65 countries worldwide.

NB: Specific subjects offered will vary depending on enrolment levels and other factors.
