Established in 1961, The Southern School of Natural Therapies is the longest established school of its kind in Australia and has played a leading role in the development of complementary medicine both in our part of the world and internationally.

One of the great advantages of studying with SSNT is gaining experience at The Wellbeing Clinic at Fitzroy campus. This provides practical training for SSNT students and inexpensive natural health care to the general public.

- To produce highly trained, primary-contact health-care practitioners committed to helping people take responsibility for their own health through the creation of a balanced lifestyle, with emphasis on disease prevention and health promotion.

With over 50 years in academic excellence, the school aims to produce highly trained primary-contact health care practitioners that have a sophisticated understanding of clinical research methodology, using both scientific methods and new research models.

Situated in a renovated three-storey building in the inner Melbourne suburb of Fitzroy, our excellent facilities include:

- The Alf Jacka Library which houses one of Australia's largest collections of natural medicine texts and journals, the student clinic's
