I had my Achilles tendon repair surgery by him. I have to say I don't like him. He is certainly not like other doctors I had seen before. From the beginning to the end, he never explained much about the surgery (my first ever) or provided any advice on my recovery at all. After my casting was taken off, he had a very brief check on my tendon and said it was very good and I would only need my crutches for a few days and I should be able to walk, and I could start physio from now on. I was so glad to know this! But I was wrong. Only two weeks after taking my casting off, my tendon got torn again when I was just walking!!! I was shocked and angry. If this was a risk, he should have let me know! I was sent to the RHH and fortunately I was told it was only a partial tear. I took an ultrasound again but the radiologist said he couldn't tell me more and left it for my surgeon to do more evaluation. When I came back to see him, didn't show any sympathy or feel sorry for me. He just simply said it's just bad luck! He didn't even check my ultrasound images and just felt my tendon briefly as usual and said it's only minor. He told me to go back to crutches again for another two weeks to let it heal back. Now two weeks have gone, I still feel sore in my tendon and I can feel an obvious dent in the tendon which wasn't there before. I'm really concerned and dare not try walking at all. I don't feel I can trust him. So I have decided to seek a second opinion. This is my experience with this doctor. I wouldn't say more, but leave you to judge. If I am asked, I certainly won't recommend this person at all!
