Donna Murphy, MS, BSc. (OT) Sensory Integration Certified (WPS/USC)

A very internationally experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist (as both clinician and academic), having worked in 9 countries on 4 continents and in both multiple and mixed family cultural environments. Donna has a high level certification in Sensory Processing Difficulties (WPS/USC), is proficient in standardized and non-standardized testing and uses a variety of effective treatment methods.

She employs a very personal child and family centered approach as well as a team approach with a child's teachers, coaches or tutors. Though a formal diagonis and/or a doctor's referral can add valuable information, children seen do not need a formal diagnosis nor a doctor's referral to work with an occupational therapist. Early intervention is always considered optimal when a child is struggling, however Donna has shown that there is no age limit to when significant improvement can be attained with plasticity of the brain possible throughout the lifespan. Donna also conducts successful small groups classes (for ages 6-18) to address challenges with social skills, facilitating improved interpersonal behaviour, using the framework of Social Thinking by Michelle Garcia Winner.
