Fiona Simpson is the principal Occupational Therapist and Play Therapist at Discover Me Occupational Therapy.

Services at Discover Me Occupational Therapy include child and adult counseling, play therapy for children aged 3-12 years and mental health counseling and rehabilitation.

Play Therapy can assist children with emotional, behavioral and social difficulties. Discover Me Occupational Therapy has a specially designed playroom with toys, creative media and equipment to encourage creativity, self-expression and your child to work through (play out) their individual worries and problems.

As an Occupational Therapist I also have specialist knowledge in child development and the impact of emotional, social and behavioral difficulties on the child, the family and at school and social environments.

Support and strategies is given to parents, teachers and caregivers, as requested.

For 19 years, I have worked as an Occupational Therapist in private and public community mental health services in hospital and community services. My clinical work has involved counseling and rehabilitation on an individual and group basis. I have extensive knowledge of disability and mental health community support services. I have completed further training as a Play Therapist.

Registered as a mental health care provider with Medicare, mental health plan required and GP or Specialist referral. Private health insurance may provide rebates for Occupational Therapy services.
