Compass Dental Care is a dental practice focussed on general, family, and cosmetic dentistry for the whole community. Our areas of excellence include the following:

Oral surgery, in particular, the removal of wisdom teeth and other dental surgical procedures such as implants. We have access rights to general anaesthetics at Darwin Day Surgery and Darwin Private Hospital and can treat patients under both IV sedation and happy gas depending on your specific situation.

In almost all cases, no additional referral to a specialist will be required.

Our highly trained staff are particularly good with people who have dental anxieties and phobias, being welcoming, warm and friendly and you will be assured that you are being looked after.

We can provide a range of children's dentistry services from routine treatment such as cleans and fillings to the management of dental trauma and other more complex issues. We have the equipment and strategies to deal with all types of dental anxiety.

We have direct access to specialists trained in special needs dentistry who can help guide us through management of patients with mobility problems, mental health and other complex medical issues such as management of dental treatment post-cancer, and other complex co-morbidities. Our facility has easy access to disabled parking, disabled toilets and rooms dedicated to treat patients confined to wheelchairs.

Root canals and other dental work requiring a high level of precision can be provided to you using our operating microscope that can magnify the tooth up to 20 times its normal size to allow us to see better and ensure that we won't miss anything. Magnification is essential for good dental treatment. We are able to see deeper into the root canals and make crowns and other restorative work with absolute precision. Along with on-site 3D imaging facilities to use as required, we can show you precisely the problem, explain to you why it is a problem in 3D as a recreation of your tooth on a computer.

In cases of complex tooth wear and erosion where there may be complex issues around the loss of space for restorations, we have direct access to Adelaide's best periodontists and implant specialists, Greenhill Periodontics and Implant Centre for implant work.

Our treatment philosophy is to conserve and restore what has been lost, and in many cases, treatment goals can be achieved with very minimal further reduction of tooth structure.

All treatment is carried out in our modern purpose built, state of the art facility from staff who have the expertise and experience to assist you in any way we can.

We are also open after-hours and on Saturdays for your convenience. We can do electronic claims processing for all major health funds including medibank, bupa, HCF and Defence Health.
