Dr Lester provides excellent care and is the only consulting and treating Specialist Orthodontist in the practice who personally attends all patients. Ortho3 practices are at two convenient locations in Sydney; Wollahara at the border of Bondi Junction in the eastern suburbs and Macquarie St in the city CBD.

Dr Lester and his team cater for children, adolescents and adults in a private boutique setting. The practice has a strong emphasis on individual treatment incorporating the latest technology to improve your experience. As no two orthodontic patients are identical, your treatment will be customised to meet your specific needs. The practice philosophy integrates orthopaedic, orthodontic and orthognathic approaches to correct problems with the development of the face, the bite (occlusion) and the alignment of teeth. There is an importance placed on early detection with a first consultation recommended at age 7 years. Dr Lester provides a full spectrum of Orthodontic services including:

�Adult treatment and surgical orthognathic correction in conjunction with leading Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons

Orthopaedics aims to develop young growing bones to restore facial harmony and to correct functional imbalances of the bite. Treatment during this phase may range from simple supervision and guidance of erupting teeth to the use to the use of fixed and removable appliances. Examples of these devices are removable plates, fixed expanders, twin block plates, protraction face masks and partial braces.

Orthodontics will align crowded teeth and camouflage mild to moderate skeletal discrepancies of the jaws. The most common comprehensive method to correct the position of the teeth and establish a functional bite (occlusion) is through the use of braces. Mild crowding and spacing problems can be easily corrected with clear �invisible� plastic aligners like the Invisalign appliance.

Orthognathics utilises a precise surgical methodology to correct severe skeletal dysplasias and restore proper facial proportions. Sometimes the discrepancy between the jaws is so severe that orthodontic treatment needs to be combined with surgery to correct that imbalance. It is usually reserved for the treatment of adults for whom there is no adolescent growth left to modify or redirect.
