Having worked as a physiotherapist in the city since 1984 and consistently carried out continuing education during that time Linda is both very aware of the physio needs of city workers and has the skills to offer them a solution for their problems.

Being a baby boomer she is keen to remain as fit as she can in order to achieve retirement (one day) in as healthy a state as possible. With many of her clients being in the same demographic she is particularly able to assist with their presenting problems.

As a mother she is also able to empathise with women going through the various stages of pregnancies - some experiencing joint and other types of musculoskeletal glitches during and after pregnancy.

Sports injuries have always been of interest to Linda since graduation days long ago with attendance at countless courses and sporting venues. For many years Linda had a very strong focus on dance injuries and was physiotherapist to the Qld Ballet while they were in the Margaret St.

Currently Linda is most keen on rowing - competing regularly in masters events and rowing distance races such as Head of the Yarra in Melbourne and Head of the Tweed in NSW - a 21 k race.

Linda loves the diversity of people that the city offers. With her experience over a huge range of different injuries she is able to offer her clients a very thorough examination, a comprehensive treatment and most importantly self-management skills.

Proper ergonomics is a major interest to Linda - and most people can expect to be grilled on the way they sit at their desks, the type of chair they use, the length of time they sit before having a break etc.
Linda is passionate about her clients being able to work at their jobs in postures and for lengths of time that won't harm their bodies. To this end she takes time to find out what it is that her clients do and how they do it.

Lifestyle is another factor that can have a great bearing on injured musculoskeletal structures and once again Linda will often check out this area in order to find more efficient less stressful ways of doing things.

However, rarely will she tell you to stop having fun, stop doing a sport, activity or something that you love. Problem solving is her challenge.

City Physio offers the latest equipment - including real time ultrasound. This means that muscles such as the core stability ones can be imaged on screen for the client not only to see but to help retrain in real time.

There is also an in-house masseur who offers a wide range of remedial massages to help and maintain recovery.
