Thorough and comprehensive assessments lead to highly individualised treatment plans. Interventions are more than the run of the mill physiotherapy treatments. They include all types of custom made splinting, wound care, scar management, swelling control, sensory reintegration, desensitisation, functional tasks and adaptive devices. Of course there is a big emphasis on hands on techniques as well, with soft tissue treatments such as trigger point therapy, myofacial release, and joint mobilisation. All patients are given home exercise programmes to restore range and strength, it is expected that you take part in your rehabilitation.
