Miss Sophie Ricketts is a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon practising within ARC Plastic Surgery in Richmond. Sophie completed her medical degree at the University of Tasmania in 2001. Sophie has worked under the tutelage of world leaders in reconstructive and plastic surgery within major plastic surgery centres in metropolitan Victoria - including The Alfred, Royal Children's, Royal Melbourne and St Vincent's Hospitals and at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center in Toronto, Canada. During the Melbourne phase of her training, notable highlights include working with the plastic surgery teams responsible for the separation of conjoined twins "Trishna and Krishna" at the Royal Children's Hospital as well as the first hand transplant in Australia at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne.

While surgical skills, aesthetic judgement, sense of beauty and ability to visualise the end result are basic requirements for plastic surgery, it is Sophie's personalised care and foremost concern for patient safety and comfort that characterises her approach to the speciality. She is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, whose philosophy has been to establish an ethical surgical, cosmetic and medical practice with a professional staff committed to patient comfort and individualised care.
