Catherine Downs Speech Pathology provides speech therapy services to children and adolescents experiencing difficulties with speech, language, literacy, auditory processing and social communication. Catherine sees children from throughout the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, including Randwick, Clovelly, Coogee, Bondi, etc.

Each intervention plan is play and relationship based and individualised for the child. Assessment and therapy can be conducted in the clinic, home, preschool or school depending on the needs of each child and his/her family. Catherine works in partnership with each child's family and teachers. Open weekdays + Saturday morning.

Catherine Downs (Founder & Director) holds degrees in both speech pathology and psychology, and is a Certified Practicing Member of Speech Pathology Australia.

Catherine Downs Speech Pathology is Government approved (FaHCSIA) to deliver speech pathology services to children diagnosed with an ASD (HCWA package).

Catherine has completed the 3 day Introductory Training ("The Action is in the Interaction") on the DIR / Floortime approach to intervention. This approach is based on The Developmental, Individual Difference & Relationship Based Model developed by Stanley Greenspan MD, Serena Wieder, PhD. In this approach, therapy focuses on each child's individual differences, development and ability to relate to their caregivers.
