A thorough inspection identifies and reports on defects to give the purchaser a clearer understanding of what potential issues might be before committing pen to paper or funds from the bank! (hence often referred to as a 'pre-purchase' building inspection).

Each house is unique and defects vary greatly from house to house. Incidence of defects and extent, typically depend on the site, age of the building, building method and quality and upkeep or maintenance.

Defects can range from physical damage, to distortion, water penetration, material deterioration, operational defects, inappropriate material application or installation. Pest and vermin attack is a constant threat.

Safety is also addressed. Barriers protecting balconies and pools are assessed. Stairs and paving for trip hazards. Smoke alarms and hearths for safety from fire.

Defects are categorised and assessed in the report as to the seriousness.

The reports are comprehensive and clearly structured. You receive the reports within 24 hours of the inspection.
