New Home Inspections

About

Established in 2001, New Home Inspections is the original new home inspection specialist in Melbourne and to our knowledge Australia. We were the innovators who developed the concept of carrying out inspections for owners during the construction of their new homes.

We have to date carried out over 16,000 quality inspections, so you can rest assured that you're dealing with proven long term experts when dealing with us.

Our Managing Director, Kevin McDonald has been working in the residential building industry for over 30 years. Starting out as an apprentice he has worked his way through as a sub-contractor carpenter and a Registered Building Practitioner running his own building firm. For the last 15 years he's been busy building and running New Home Inspections. Kevin is a past member of the Master Builders Association and still holds membership with the HIA.

As an Expert Witness Kevin has provided evidence in a number of matters against some of Melbourne's major builders, both before the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) and the Building Dispute Board that have resulted in our clients successfully having their defective works totally reconstructed or gaining substantial monetary compensation.
