Colour & Space

About

Colour & Space offers a specialised service providing contemporary and traditional colour schemes for today's lifestyle. Whether you are renovating, building or just wanting a new look, sometimes the task can be daunting. Where do you start? Often this could be with an architectural feature in the space or perhaps a much loved piece of furniture or even a work of art. From here a style and colour scheme can be developed.

Colour affects us in many ways and creates a mood or atmosphere that can have a positive or negative impact upon us. Collecting images and swatches is the perfect way to discover the colours and textures you really love. It is important to understand that colour also varies with different lighting, texture, pattern, proportion and placement; so it should always be viewed in relation to its environment. Colour will unify a design and give a cohesive feel to the space when used correctly.

When styling a space, colour can be a powerful tool and used to draw attention to treasured objects or architectural features. For example, a collection of colourful vases on a mantelpiece can emphasise it as a major focal point or a complementary mix of colourful cushions can turn a plain lounge into a showstopper! Open-plan areas work best when there is a common thread and one colour used as an accent placed strategically throughout the space provides the perfect solution.

Colour & Space services Sydney and the Central Coast of NSW. Appointments can be arranged at your home, workplace or on site. A copy of your floor plans and elevations will be required if you are building or renovating. For enquiries or to book an appointment please phone Susan.
