About

Studio of Design was born out of the desire to provide the type of design service that is an affordable way to engage a designer without needing to take time out of your busy work or family life. Although I'd very much love to meet you, sit and chat over a cuppa to discuss the wishes and inspiration behind your project. Doing things digitally allows me to do the same thing virtually, through a questionnaire/email/pictures etc. and at less of an expense to you. Plus it means I can reach people all around Australia who might not otherwise have easily accessible decorator or design services.

Studio of design is the art and science of enhancing the interiors, sometimes including the exterior, of a space or building, to achieve a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing environment for the end user.

An interior designer is someone who plans, researches, coordinates, and manages such projects. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that includes conceptual development, space planning, site inspections, programming, research, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, construction management, and execution of the design.

Interior design is the process of shaping the experience of interior space, through the manipulation of spatial volume as well as surface treatment for the betterment of human functionality.

Residential design is the design of the interior of private residences. As this type design is very specific for individual situations, the needs and wants of the individual are paramount in this area of interior design. The interior designer may work on the project from the initial planning stage or may work on the remodelling of an existing structure. It is often a very involved process that takes months to fine-tune and create a space with the vision of the cline.

The Australian Interior Design Awards recognize and celebrate interior design excellence via a credible, industry-based program, which is backed by the Design Institute of Australia, the professional body representing Australian designers.

•The awards conferred have both national and international significance.

•The judging process is anonymous, transparent and confidential. It is based on peer review and conforms to international standards.

•Jurors are eminent designers working with a convener appointed by the Design Institute of Australia.

•Entrants and their projects receive considerable media recognition via a range of newspapers, magazines and websites. All shortlisted, commended and awarded projects are permanent additions to the online Awards gallery.

•Any Australian based design professional may enter. Projects may be located anywhere in the world.

•The program is self-funding and not for profit.

The Australian Interior Design Awards is a partnership event of the Design Institute of Australia and ARTICHOKE magazine.

My name is Rhianna, I have been interested in interior design for as long as I can remember. Over the last 10 years I have been actively involved in the design industry in many areas including, interior design, interior decoration, room styling, visual merchandising, graphic design, colour consultation, custom artwork and much more.

By starting Studio of Design I now have the opportunity to share my passion with other likeminded passionate people.
