Porcelain Tiles:

Porcelain Tiles are very strong/durable and have a lower water absorption rate than ceramic tiles.

Polished Porcelain Tiles:

Polished Porcelain Tiles are very strong and durable. They give a highly reflective surface that can help a room look bigger, lighter, and brighter.

Glazed Porcelain Tiles:

Glazed Porcelain Tiles have a glazed surface and are very good for repelling stains but normally have very little reflective properties.

Travertine Tiles:

Travertine Tiles are made straight from the ground. As the limestone ages in hot springs it creates an aerated and darker finish. These are great to create a rustic, less formal, feel and look good in bathrooms and the main floor alike.

Travertine Pavers:

Travertine Pavers are thicker slabs of travertine normally 30mm that are tumbled on the edges which allows for tiling over uneven surfaces.

Ceramic Tiles:

Ceramic Tiles have been used for centuries. They come in a wide range of colours and sizes.

Stackstone:

Stackstone are thin strips of stone which are joined together normally in a 150mm x 600mm size.

Once adhered to the wall it gives the affect of a stone wall ? also known as cladding.

Natural Stone:

Natural Stone is any product cut out of the ground and will have colour variation. Some natural stone look fantastic in tiles for the floor or wall.

Features:

Features are used to add colour, texture or size difference to an otherwise plain wall or floor. Note that features tend to date quickly.

Mosaic Tiles:

Mosaic Tiles are made from small tiles stuck together either on a fibreglass sheet or a paper face. Marble is becoming a really popular product to mosaic.

Floor Tiles:

Floor Tiles is a description given to any tile suitable for the floor. Care must be taken to make sure the floor tile selected is suitable for the area being tiled.

Wall Tiles:

Most tiles can be used for this purpose, however not all Wall Tiles cannot be used on the floor.

Bathroom Tiles:

Bathroom Tiles help to make the bathroom beautiful and easy to clean. Most people now tile to the ceiling, if they use polished porcelain in a larger size (ie 300-600) it will make any bathroom look bigger.

Kitchen Tiles:

Kitchen Tiles are ideal for kitchen splashbacks.

Outdoor Tiles:

Outdoor Tiles are usually fixed over a concreted surface. Each application requires different levels of anti-slip so check this before laying.

Border Tiles:

Border Tiles are smaller, normally rectangular tiles, designed to bring colour to the room. They normally run a row 1.8m from the floor in a bathroom . Take note this can minimise the illusion of space.

Tile Design Ideas:

Tile Design Ideas can be found on our website. Otherwise, tile design ideas can be obtained from a tile professional with some design or colour experience. Bathroom Vanities:

Bathroom vanities allow us to wash our hands while still giving an area to store our personal items.

Adhesives and Grout:

Adhesives are used to fix tiles to the floor. Grout is used to fill the joints between the tiles. Some grouts are more resistant to moulding and staining.
