Uknekt

About

UKnekt was started in 2014 by Ron Chandra and Chris Davis. Ron has been providing software & internet engineering services for a number of domestic & overseas companies across a range of technologies, and in early 2014 was approached to work on a connected LED lighting project.

Ron was so impressed with the technology he instead negotiated exclusive rights for these products in the Australian, New Zealand and Pacific markets, in return for the back end software engineering and supply of the mobile apps. Chris and Ron had worked previously for Brown-Forman Australia (Jack Daniel’s, Southern Comfort) on a number of systems IT/Sales projects and when redundancies were occurring in May 2014, Chris saw the same opportunity and left the corporate world and UKnekt was born.

Ron and Chris are determined to use their IT and systems skills in the back end to run a cost-efficient company. With their connections to suppliers and factories around the world they want to bring to market quality smart products that deliver without hefty price tags, and pass the savings on to their customers. They want to get “you connected” to these emerging technologies sooner, and believe by offering lower prices they can be part of the competition that gets these new product prices down sooner for everyone.
