M-elec Pty Ltd

About

M-Elec, like most businesses, started from humble beginnings. Originally operating from a small shed at the back of the family home, Tim Mobbs began producing small single light emitting diode packages which were mostly utilised in automotive applications and hobbies. Developing LED stripping Tim imported custom strips, modules and power supplies from Germany. Seeing how practical strip illumination can be, Tim enrolled the help of his father Geoff Mobbs to design and produce an aluminium profile with opaque diffuser, hence making them the first manufacturers in Australia to supply a LED package of strips and aluminium with a high lumen output and low power consumption. Installing these profiles into a local restaurant six years ago, this system still operates today with no LED failures.
