Sigma Ergonomics provides tool handling and exoskeletal solutions aimed at reducing the prevalence of muscular skeletal injury by reducing the load put on workers. We are the Australasian distributors for EKSO Bionics range of exoskeletal technology and tool handling arms.

Currently the range includes the award winning Ekso Zero G tool handling arm. This arm is a completely passive spring balanced arm that is designed to support the weight of heavy tools while allowing workers to interact with the tool as they normally would. The Zero G arm simply removes the strain of supporting the tools weight form the body. This allows workers to work faster and more efficiency as the arm significantly reduces fatigue and allows the worker to focus on precision and productivity. The average estimated return on investment of a Zero G arm is 100%. There is currently a wide range of mounting options to suit any application including vest mount options coming soon.

The next product in the range is the X-Ar. The X-Ar supports the workers arms directly to improve fine motor skills when working with arms outstretched from the body like welding, or small parts assembly tasks. These arms have been used in the Hasbro toy factories in the US, laboratories and are currently being trialled in the area of sonography.

Sigma Ergonomics also designs and builds bespoke lifting apparatus for hard to handle products such as vehicle seats, plastic wrap rolls or GET wear plates. We have developed a system for the safe and efficient removal of GET wear plates from a variety of dozers and grades that works perfectly in any heavy vehicle workshop. This product has seen strong uptake from iron ore and ope cast mines in the Pilbara region already.
