Mobicon Systems Pty Ltd is privately owned and was established in 1994, when the Owner and Managing Director Tom Schults realised that there was a need for a more effective and economical way to handle containers in a low throughput environment. He set out to design a container handler that could simply take a container off a truck and place it anywhere it’s needed. The first concept Straddle Carrier was built in 1997, and Mobicon Systems has since received multiple awards for its innovative design from logistic and manufacturing institutions. Mobicon’s manufacturing and assembly plant is based in Brisbane, Australia, and supplies equipment to clients across the globe.
