SOL Guitar Repairs

About

Guitars are all about balance.

Good quality setups are only ever achieved through a process of optimisation for just about every facet of the guitar. Good fretwork enables the neck relief to be set. Perfectly measured neck relief enables individual nut heights to be set. And on it goes until the end, which should result in a great playing instrument. One capable of being again optimised for the person playing it, through feel on their part and measurement on mine.

Considerations come into play along the way. Customer budgets limit the work that can be done to an instrument and affect the outcome, but the process doesn't change. Getting the best out of a guitar, no matter the framework, is what I strive for. This goes hand in hand with any work I do on an instrument. Rebuilds, headstock repairs, refrets, neck reshaping, guitar electronics, resprays and so on, my intention remains the same.
