Injectronics Australia Pty Ltd began in the 1980's as a business which serviced and repaired late model fuel injected vehicles. Managing director Rex Vandenberg soon found the need to invest heavily in modern equipment and specialised training for staff. They soon became known as the fuel injection specialists within the automotive industry and began troubleshooting for many other workshops and dealerships within the Melbourne metropolitan area.

The manufacturers of automotive electronic components made the bold statement that these parts were a 'non serviceable item' and could only be purchased new. Motivated by the challenge of this statement, and the high cost of replacement parts, Rex and his brother Frank, with a wealth of automotive electronics knowledge, started to research and repair electronic modules on vehicles that were brought into their workshop. They soon had many inquiries from other workshops and dealerships to supply these parts. This led to repairing and stocking Electronic Control Modules (ECM), otherwise known as Electronic Control Units (ECU's), so that they would be available on an exchange basis.

The business has grown over the years to now incorporate many types of automotive electronic components and services with customers worldwide.
