Uticolor Australia has always been Australian owned and operated, beginning in 1972 when Keith Smith purchased the Australian trading rights and technology from Uticolor Japan. The quirky but somehow memorable name was derived from its originators the Utility Color Laboratories in California USA which dealt solely in vinyl welding and recolouring.
