Zemek Engineering has been operating since 1975 and is 100 percent Australian owned. Large items of mining equipment including buckets and dipper doors are refurbished at the workshop at Mackay Harbour in Queensland.

Zemek Engineering supplies a wide range of new products for the mining industry in both Queensland and New South Wales.

Catalogues are available for all the products which include bushes, links, equalisers, spreaders, pins, shovel parts, shackles, sockets and dump blocks. Newly designed and improved products are constantly being added to the stock list.

Zemek produces a wide range of both cast and fabricated rigging components for draglines and has a revolutionary pinning system and also has centreline sockets which provide a quick, yet safe way to remove wedges and pins.

Zemek undertakes a full range of fabrication by employees who have many years of experience in general and heavy fabrication. Using the fully equipped workshop at Mackay Harbour, all fabrication is produced onsite including pipe work, structural steel, and walkways. Drafting and certification are part of the fabrication process.

Zemek Engineering caters for a wide range of structural steel works which are finished to specification by a local industrial painting company.

Items which are refurbished include buckets, dipper handles, shovel dippers, saddle blocks, and shovel dipper doors. Fully qualified employees at the workshop also refurbish spreader bars, dump blocks, sockets, shackles and every type of dragline rigging.

Work safety is a priority and, as a result of workplace initiatives, Zemek Engineering not only won the 2012 Queensland Safe Work Awards for the best workplace health and safety practice in a small business, but has also jointly won the third category in the 2013 8th annual Safe Work Australia awards for best workplace health and safety practice in a small business.
