About
The Sustainability Store: Supporting Sustainable Living
Our garden and home related products include raised garden beds, rainwater tanks, wheelie-bin worm farms, compost bays, grey-water recycling systems as well as gardening books both general and school related. Our wheelie-bin worm farms are popular with schools, institutions and the general public and come in a range of contemporary colours, Red, White, Blue, Orange, Purple, Green with Red Lid
We also supply an assortment of water, soil and weather related instruments including Automatic Weather Stations to schools, business, agriculture and the general public through our parent organization, WeatherWorks Australia ABN 35 971 275 399.
We give garden related talks at schools and to various gardening clubs and organisations. We display our products at Science Conferences, Field Days, Expos, Agricultural Shows (including the Perth Royal Show), W.A Garden Show-Perry Lakes, Small Farm Field Days, Biodynamic Festivals, Perth City Farm, ABC Open Gardens, Farmers Markets, School Fairs and the yearly UWA Perth Sun Fair.
We have added new venues to our display list including the Denmark Energy and Water Expo, Wagin Woolarama, Warren District Agricultural Show, Landcare Expo Muchea, GinGin Expo, Balingup Small Farm Field Day and others.
We are members of STAWA, GAWA, Australian Association of Environmental Education, W.A Organic Growers Association, Diggers Club, Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation, Australian Meteorological & Oceanographic Society and others.
We were nominated to take part in Sustainable House Day in 2009 at our Wattle Grove property. We are virtually self-sufficient in organic garden produce and power thanks to a large array of solar panels. Although in the Perth Metro area, we rely exclusively on tank water.
The sustainability theme has been extended to schools and related groups with visits organised to our sustainable property in Wattle Grove. Demonstrations include operating worm farms and the setting up new worm farms. This is a 'hands-on' visit with students being given the opportunity to take part in activities.
