The St George Community Transport Project is a non-profit organisation which provides transport to frail aged people and people with a disability who are transport disadvantaged and live in the St George region. St George Community Transport is managed by a volunteer committee which oversees the transport service.

The service picks up clients, takes them to their appointments or outings and brings them home. Assistance is provided to those who need it for no extra cost. These services are also available to carers of clients, which may include family members or friends, to assist the clients on the day.

The Project is funded under the Home and Community Care (HACC) program by the State and Federal Governments and by the small fees paid by users of the services. HACC offers clients a range of services that are organised by paid workers as well as volunteer workers.
