About

Mallee District Aboriginal Services provides health and family services to Koori people and their families from our centres in Mildura, Swan Hill and Kerang.

Health Services

Mallee District Aboriginal Services is a leader in providing more than 50 proactive and positive programs aimed at improving the health outcomes and life expectancy of Koori people in the Mildura, Swan Hill and Kerang areas.

MDAS provides medical consultations and allied health services that are bulk-billed, with no out-of-pocket expenses for our Koori clients. Patient confidentiality is also strictly maintained.

The staff at our four sites includes Aboriginal Health Workers and nurses, a midwife and maternal health workers. There are also professionals in healthy lifestyles, mental health, drug and alcohol support and counselling.

Family Services

The Mallee District Aboriginal Service's Family Services Units support our clients in Mildura, Swan Hill and Kerang as they strive to achieve their own goals in life.

We have four teams each focussing on different needs within our community: Home and Community Care and Housing; Early School Leavers; Home Based Care; and Family Services

The Family Services Unit works from the Best Interest Case Practice Model.
