St John's has a number of active ministries, serving the needs of kids, youth, students, singles, families and older people. We are a group of people from around Newcastle who have had our lives changed by Jesus Christ, and want to learn more about him and trust him enough to live as he taught.

We are the oldest church in Newcastle, and work to combine the beautiful ancient traditions of our faith with a modern outlook on life and community.

On Sundays, we worship God in three different style of service: traditional, modern, informal. But church is much more than just about Sundays. - throughout the week we meet for playgroup, youth groups, bible studies, surfing, football and social catch ups.

St John's Church Newcastle is famous for our beautiful weddings, held in our stunning church building. Stained glass windows, historic pipe-organ, hand-carved timber ceiling beams… all combine with our welcoming ministers to create the perfect start to your married life.
