Elermore Vale Men's Shed

About

Our business is a non profit charity, we mentor other men who are looking for something to do when they retire from the workforce.

We have many different community projects on the go, both in our shed and out in the local community. What sort of things do we do? In the shed we are still building our sheds, we have 3 in total, and the men at the Men's Shed are very keen to get in shoulder to shoulder, because that is how we also like to communicate. We have future plans for building all sort of wooden toys and bird boxes to raise money for our on going projects.

In the community we are very active, we are in the process of providing a mentoring programme for a local retirement village. Some of our men go out and weed gardens and mow lawns for the frail aged and those who are needy. We are considering building a chicken run for one of our local schools. One of the local hospitals has asked us to refurbish a doll house, and we will gladly do our best for them.

We hope to have a stall at this years Wallsend Winter Fair, we need more sponsors to help us fund us for the flyers and information brochures that we would like to give out to the general public.

Elermore Vale Men's Shed is in need of public donations and company sponsors. We do get some funding from the government and Julia Gillard has even endorsed the Men's Shed movement.

So don't be shy come on down and have a cuppa and chat with us. You don't have to do anything, or you can join in and get active.

We are there for those men that would like to get out and get busy, men don't talk to each other face to face, we like to meet and talk shoulder to shoulder. So if you are reading this and you are not local, have a look at our online website, drop us a e-mail and we will reply with the nearest available Men's Shed or better still, call the Australian Men's Shed Association and they can point you in the right direction.
