Gilbert Cottage

About

Gilbert Cottage - the guesthouse for discerning felines - is conveniently located in Red Hill and is just the place for your pampered pussycat. What sets Gilbert Cottage apart from other catteries is just that - Gilbert Cottage is not a cattery, it is a guesthouse with areas set aside exclusively for the use of the special felines of this world.

The Cottage Room is a bright airy room overlooking parkland, trees, birds and passers by; centrally located within the residence with views to main living areas; own bed (human size); multi-level furnishings for climbing plus cat tree with scratch poles; cat tunnel: 24 hour room service.

The Piano Room has been installed due to high demand. It is a 2m x 3m area enclosed with cat- mesh and is directly off the main living area so that puss can see throughout the house and out onto the back deck (where birds congregate daily). All comforts are provided including cat tree with scratch posts, cat tunnel and furniture to climb. The Piano Room has proven popular for both young and mature felines and is especially recommended for the tiny ones that need extra supervision.

We also offer the use of our Tropical Retreat which is a 4m x 4m outdoor enclosure allowing puss to climb, play or just relax and view the tropical surrounds (and perhaps do a spot of bird watching).

Inspections welcome by appointment.
