About

The Recovery Foundation is a Not For Profit, Fully Tax Exempt and Charitable Organisation which will assist people into recovery from addiction, and then, to help them stay in recovery.

Our main program is a two week, intensive course for people who want to overcome any type of addiction problem:

Alcohol Dependence

Cocaine Addiction

Heroin Addiction

Amphetamine Addiction

Marijuana Addiction

Meth Addiction

Pain Medication Addiction

Gambling Addiction

Participants in the addiction treatment program attend Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm over two weeks. This is followed by ongoing weekly contact sessions and support.

The addiction treatment program is delivered by qualified program staff with years of experience in addiction treatment.

We are located in North Road Ormond in Melbourne, close to the Ormond railway station.

As well as the addiction treatment program, we offer drug and alcohol counseling, and recovery houses - affordable, safe and supportive places to live drug and alcohol free.

Our Program Director it George Thompson. With nearly two decades of experience in the drug and alcohol field, George comes with a very broad experience of the profession. He was the Program Director of the Warburton Drug and Alcohol Unit for most of the 1990’s and during that time he developed a program of international standing with clients not only in this country but from overseas as well. He has also worked closely with Hazelden, the world leaders in research and treatment in the USA. George has also worked with counselors from The Betty Ford Center, and encourages exchanges with counselors between treatment centres.
