Jackson Aces

About

Jackson Aces is the Master of Cards...

With a father who represented Australia in Rugby League, one would expect Jackson to pursue a life of sport, but destiny had a different path in store for him. At the age of twelve, Jackson's calling manifested itself when he received from his mom a deck of cards for his birthday. Without knowing quite why, Jackson was drawn to the cards, seeing an as yet unknown potential yet to be unlocked. Card games became Jackson's favourite pastime, but it wasn't until magicians around the world began popularising the new art of street magic that Jackson found his purpose in life.

Jackson's teenage years saw him practising relentlessly from dawn till dusk. Combined with the speed and skill he inherited from his father; it wasn't long before Jackson became a renowned card magic and sleight of hand merchant. Jackson's popularity rose quickly due to his ability to produce seemingly endless quantities of cards from thin air.

Having also successfully performed a trick three times in front of his peers and the secret remaining undetected, Jackson became a member of the exclusive "Pura Mente Et Corpore Magum" group. It was at their annual meeting in 2011 that saw Jackson voted 'Most Promising Up and Coming Talent' along with being decorated with The Gold Top Hat award of Card Magic by The Magic Academy.

News travels fast between magicians, so it wasn't long before word of a young magician, quicker than the eye and as graceful as a ballerina working in Sydney reached the ears of the renowned Producer of Australia’s only magic venue, The Magician's Cabaret, James Karp. A midnight meeting was set up and Jackson was immediately cast as a resident in the new production La Fortuna: A Magician's Tale, as two principal lead roles; Nemesis and The Masked Magician to rave reviews. American magazine VANISH described Jacksons stage performance as "a stunning choreography of cards constructed with all the fantasy and emotion inherent of a poet" and MW Magazine wrote "supremely talented".
