Dolce Musica Harp & Violin Duo

About

Dolce Musica Harp & Violin Duo.

Brisbane musicians Dolce Musica Harp and Violin Duo have been providing music for wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, pre-dinner drinks, corporate functions, private functions, and other events in Brisbane and the surrounding areas of Ipswich and the Gold Coast since 1998.

The sweet sounds of the harp and violin create a unique atmosphere at intimate functions or major events.

Unlike the traditional String Quartet, Dolce Musica Harp and Violin Duo is able to provide a different sound and feel to the various styles of music. Our instrumental combination is particularly suited to the lighter classical pieces that are more well-known. What we play may best be described as popular classics and classical pops. Our instruments, style and choice of music gives a more romantic feel to our sound.

As well as Classical and Popular music, Dolce Musicas extensive repertoire also includes Wedding music, music from Stage and Film, Gershwin, Ethnic which include Irish, Scottish, Welsh, Spanish, Russian, Greek, Japanese etc, Jigs and Reels, Celtic and Medieval music, Funeral music and Christmas music.

To view our ever-expanding repertoire list, and to listen to samples of our sound please visit Dolce Musicas website.

Our musicians, violinist Dianne and Harpist Joan, (who also plays as a solo harpist under the name Siobhan), have many years of both performing and teaching experience.
