Christensen's Music & Learning

About

Christensen's offer a wide range of innovative and creative music classes and tuition for children and adults of all ages.

Early Childhood Classes:

Our exclusive 'Music Discovery' classes for children 3 to 7 years are the ideal way for young children to make a fun start with music. These are small group classes with only 4 children maximum per class. Children learn about and gain hands-on experience at playing many different instruments and also discover common music signs, symbols and basic aspects of music theory.

Instrument Classes & Tuition:

We teach Keyboard, Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Violin, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Bass Guitar and Banjo.

Group or individual classes available !

Our children's instrument classes are very popular as we take only 3 maximum per class and teach a balance of instrument playing skills, 'ear' and rhythm development, sight reading and theory, and in a way that children can easily understand what they are learning. We produce much of our books and learning material ourselves including fun original songs with play-along accompaniments. Theory is taught with fun quizzes and other constructive activities.

Note .. we don't do exams which place unnecessary pressure on students and greatly limit their music skills and abilities to suit the requirements of the exams. We also don't teach formal or boring songs and exercises that can cause students to lose interest .. Christensen's adopt a fun but constructive approach to all our lessons.

For adults we mostly offer individual lessons but sometimes group classes depending on circumstances.

Instrument rental and sales is available for our students.

Christensen's also service and repair wind, brass and string instruments.
